This is a harvestman, (latin: Phalangids or Opiliones), not actually a real spider although it has eight legs (okay okay, I know, this specimen has only seven). This little creature is one of three that are commonly known as 'daddy longlegs', the other two being the cellar spider and the crane fly.


In Germany it is known as Der Weberknecht. Literally The Weaver's Servant 'cos it looks like a pin cushion with legs, nifty.
